EveryLingo builds children's vocabulary from before they start talking: children understand words long before they say them, so babies and toddlers can hear each word, see its picture and tap to play. It covers the everyday vocabulary of animals, food, family, colours and things around the house, plus any word you want to add, like things from your culture or words that matter to your family. Each word comes with a clear picture and sound, and short, calm games bring the same word back in different ways, so words grow through play. It is made for ages 0 to 6, and older children enjoy it too, discovering new words, new languages and new worlds.
Play in one language or two at the same time, and switch anytime: the same words, pictures and games work either way. In two-language mode a child builds both vocabularies together from the very first word. There is no need to know one language first, because every word appears in both languages at once. EveryLingo serves one-language families just as well as bilingual and multilingual ones.
Parents can create their own word cards with their own photos, their own words and their own voice: the family dog, grandma, a favourite toy. It works in any language or family dialect, even one no app supports. If a ready-made word does not sound or look the way your family says it, replace it with your own. Your cards play in all the games.
Children play the games on their own, while parents set up the words and stay in charge. There are no ads, nothing loud or flashing, and no links leading out of the app. Some games let children recognise words by their letters before they can read, with sound as a helping hint.
For one-language families, bilingual and multilingual families, parents who speak different languages, families abroad keeping a home language alive, and grandparents who want to share their language.
The free version needs no sign-up and has no time limit: play the games with a starter set of words in every language and every language pair, and make your own word cards too.
